Description:We are looking for a full-time associate attorney to join our team. The Randle Law Office, "RLO", is a municipal law firm and serves as legal counsel for governmental entities throughout Texas. RLO values work-life balance with a low annual billable requirement, bonuses are paid quarterly based on 1650 billable hours per year. We do this because we believe the best work is produced by attorneys with a work-life balance. While RLO attorneys are required to attend night-time City Council meetings as assigned, RLO is committed to providing a flexible work environment and schedule in exchange.
The right attorney will enjoy tackling a wide variety of topics. Some of these areas include: economic development, elections & voting rights, ethics & professionalism, land use & development, law enforcement & municipal court; legislative consulting & advocacy, open meetings & open records, personnel & employment matters, procurement & construction projects, real estate transactions, utilities & telecommunications; water, wastewater & the environment.
You may be assigned to:
- Advise and provide solutions and legal advice to municipal clients,
- Draft legal documents including orders, ordinances, resolutions, policies, and procedures,
- Draft and review contracts, leases, easements, and deeds,
- Research state and federal law, including statutes, administrative regulations, attorney general opinions, case law, and preparing legal memoranda.
- Advocate for clients' interest in court and before administrative bodies

Requirements:
- Graduate of a Texas Law School and licensed in Texas in good standing
- Strong research and writing skills
- Exceptional oral communication skills, including ability to speak effectively in small groups, before large audiences at public meetings, and in the courtroom.
- 1650 billable hours per year
- Some experience as a civil litigator in Texas desirable
- A working knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
- Independent and self-motivating, willing to quickly learn Municipal Law.
- Organized, dependable and steady.
- Capable of transitioning between numerous clients on multiple subjects daily.
- Current Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and the ability to drive long distances.
