Description:
Analytical, detail-oriented, and ready to take on real estate closings and contract work? Prime Group is looking for an Associate Attorney to work closely with our Corporate Attorney on a wide range of legal matters.
Job Summary:
The Associate Attorney works closely with the Corporate Attorney to handle a range of legal tasks, with a primary focus on real estate closings, contract administration, and legal support. Responsibilities include providing legal guidance, conducting research, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams, outside vendors, and clients throughout the closing process.
What You'll Do:
Including but not limited to:
- Provide legal guidance and support for various legal matters
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including legal research and writing
- Oversee insurance, risk, and claims management for the organization
- Perform title searches, updates, and recordings
- Conduct legal research on court records, real estate records, liens, and background checks
- Abstract, examine, and analyze deeds, easements, tax assessments, and other legal instruments
- Verify property ownership and encumbrances
- Manage loan closing files and prepare closing binders
- Draft and review corporate, organizational, and commercial documents, including construction contracts
- Coordinate the contract execution process and ensure accurate reporting
- Collaborate with title agents and sales office staff to facilitate real estate closings
- Perform closings as needed and assist with post-closing work
- Assist on special projects in other practice areas
What you bring:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
- 1-2 years of relevant legal experience; Florida Bar member in good standing
- Background in real estate law preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills, including percentages, commissions, and basic algebra
- Ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Office-based role; ability to sit, stand, and walk, and to lift or move up to 10 pounds
