Astuno & Associates, APC, a multijurisdictional full-service civil law firm, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our team in Henderson, NV. We manage a broad range of legal matters, including business law, real estate, domestic relations, and estate planning/trust & estates. Our firm is committed to providing comprehensive legal services for individuals, families, and businesses, with a focus on securing legacies for individuals and families, and effectively managing business complexities from inception to transition.The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented attorney with a strong work ethic, a commitment to client service, and a demonstrated ability to take ownership of cases. This role requires expertise in legal drafting, strategic thinking, and effective negotiation. As a Associate Attorney, you will represent clients in various legal proceedings while providing thorough legal advice and fostering positive client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Court Representation: Represent clients in legal matters and court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and other necessary filings.
- Negotiation: Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Client Advisory: Provide timely and professional legal counsel to clients, advising them on their rights and obligations throughout the litigation process.
- Legal Compliance: Stay informed of changes in laws and regulations that impact litigation practices and advise clients accordingly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and staff to ensure effective case management and consistent client service.
- Trial Preparation: Prepare for trials by organizing evidence, developing case strategies, and ensuring readiness for litigation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to the Nevada State Bar Association.
- Proven experience in legal drafting, and negotiation.
- Proficiency in using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw for legal research.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage complex cases independently while working collaboratively with colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
- Prior experience in litigation, including civil procedure, is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
