Overview:We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the law, detail oriented, and ready to contribute to a variety of cases while working closely with experienced attorneys.
Duties:
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Attend court hearings, client meetings, and depositions as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies.
- Maintain organized case files and client communications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with contract law and litigation processes is a plus
- J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law or Tulane University Law School (or expected graduation within the year)
- Strong skills in providing Legal Advice and conducting thorough Research
- Demonstrated ability to engage in effective Negotiation to represent and defend clients' interests
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Relevant experience or familiarity with state and federal laws applicable in Louisiana
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership (Louisiana Bar preferred)
