A Freehold-based law firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing practice. Our firm primarily handles family law and criminal defense matters, and we are looking for an attorney who is confident in the courtroom, possesses exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills, and is committed to providing outstanding client representation.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, independent thinker with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume practice. This position offers substantial courtroom experience and the opportunity to independently manage cases while working collaboratively with experienced attorneys and support staff.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey.
- 0–10 years of legal experience.
- Experience in family law and/or criminal law is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable handling court appearances, motion practice, oral argument, client conferences, and negotiations.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law and criminal matters in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, certifications, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and draft persuasive written submissions.
- Appear in court for conferences, hearings, oral arguments, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements and resolutions with opposing counsel and prosecutors.
- Meet with clients, provide legal advice, and maintain regular communication throughout representation.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Participate in networking and business development opportunities to help grow the firm's practice.
