Description:
We are seeking two experienced Associate Attorneys for our Fairfield, New Jersey office: one attorney with 1 to 3 years of commercial litigation experience, and an attorney with 4 to 6 years of commercial litigation experience. Uniquely, Associate Attorneys at this firm will not be required to work beyond Mondays through Fridays, will not have to work while on vacation, and will not receive or be required to respond to emails after hours. The ideal candidate should be admitted (or about to be admitted) to practice law in both New Jersey or New York. This is a small, but growing firm with a niche practice representing corporate and high net worth clients in various litigation and transaction matters. The ideal candidate should have interest and experience in commercial/business litigation and business transaction matters.We offer very competitive compensation and benefits package: healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement benefits, paid time off, and year-end bonus. Starting salaries will range between $85,000 to $110,000 for associates with 1 to 3 years of relevant legal experience, and salaries of $120,000 to $150,000 for associates with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities:
- Appear in court or before government agencies in New Jersey and New York
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of our clients
- Advise our clients on business and legal transactions
- Negotiate settlements of legal disputes
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience as a trial court law clerk is a plus but not necessary
- Ability to build rapport with opposing counsel and/or clients
