Description:
Northern Virginia firm hiring a self-motivated, professional, and detail-oriented Associate Attorney for Traffic and Criminal Court. Experience in Virginia criminal/traffic courts is preferred, but not required. A successful candidate is someone who wants to practice as a trial lawyer and rapidly learn the ropes in state and federal courts. Since there will be extensive new and current client contact, a successful candidate must also possess outstanding attorney-client relationship skills.Spanish speaker is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients in criminal defense proceedings. Interest in courtroom practice is a must!
- Negotiate with prosecutors and other parties on behalf of clients.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in Spanish.
- Stay updated on changes in criminal law and procedures.
- Utilize writing skills to prepare legal correspondence and documents.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
- Member of the Virginia Bar.
- 1-3 years of law experience preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish / English preferred.
Compensation: $70,000 - $110,000 yearly
