Sharuzi Law Group, Ltd is a regional trial defense law firm. We are seeking candidates for an Associate position in the firm's medical malpractice group in our downtown Denver office.Ideal candidates will have 2-6 years' experience in the defense of Medical Malpractice and General Liability cases. Candidates must be licensed in Colorado. Those who are licensed in New Mexico and/or actively seeking licensure there are strongly preferred. Responsibilities include pre-trial and trial work, motion practice, depositions, case assessment and management, drafting and responding to discovery, and client contact. Importantly, the position requires excellent research and writing skills. Law review and/or other demonstrable writing experience are strongly preferred for this position (we will require a writing sample with your application).

Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state where the position is located
- Strong research skills with experience using legal research databases such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of attorneys
- Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not required
