We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our bankruptcy practice. This role is ideal for a recent law graduate or licensed attorney looking to gain hands-on experience in debtor representation. You'll work directly with clients, draft and review legal documents, and attend 341 meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review bankruptcy pleadings, schedules, and related filings.
- Meet with clients to gather financial information and prepare case documentation.
- Attend 341 meetings and represent clients in routine bankruptcy proceedings.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure timely communication with clients.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure accurate and compliant filings.
- Ability to practice other areas of law, if candidate desires.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Mississippi.
- No prior bankruptcy experience required — training provided.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and ability to communicate compassionately and clearly with clients.
