The Role:
You'll manage your own diverse caseload with minimal supervision across three key areas:
  • Estate Planning - Draft comprehensive wills, trusts, powers of attorney, succession plans, and ancillary documents
  • Trust Administration & Probate - Handle asset transfers, beneficiary communications, court filings, and estate settlements
  • Trust/Estate Litigation - Manage trust and probate disputes, conduct depositions, draft motions, and represent clients in court
  • Conduct consultations to identify needs and objectives, crafting custom solutions tailored to complex family dynamics and significant assets.
  • Maintain accurate case files and meet all court deadlines.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and training to paralegals and support staff to ensure high-quality document preparation and case management

What We're Looking For:
Essential Qualifications:
  • JD and active California State Bar license in good standing
  • 3-5 years (minimum) of law firm experience in estate planning, trust administration, or probate
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the California Probate Code, Code of Civil Procedure (CCP), and California Rules of Court (CRC)
  • At least 10 depositions conducted
  • Strong motion practice and discovery experience
  • Proven ability to manage cases independently from start to finish
  • Tech-savvy with experience in case management systems
  • Comfortable with billable hour requirements and contemporaneous time tracking

  • Board certification in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Experience with MyCase, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
