Segal & Amos, PLLC, a respected Charleston-based personal injury and civil litigation firm, seeks a full-time Associate Attorney with litigation experience to join our team. We handle a wide range of complex cases, including personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and insurance bad faith litigation.Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of civil litigation, from intake through trial and appeal.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Manage client communications and case strategy in coordination with senior attorneys.
- Perform legal research and case analysis.
- Contribute to trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness preparation, and first/second chair at trial.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing of the West Virginia State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
- 2+ years of litigation experience preferred (personal injury or insurance litigation experience strongly valued).
- Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
