Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across various practice areas
- Draft legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and depositions with precision and clarity
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing witnesses for court depositions, and developing case strategies
- Manage case files efficiently using legal case management systems to ensure timely updates and compliance
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, gather information, and clarify legal options
- Support attorneys during court proceedings by participating in procedural law applications and legal negotiations
- Perform statutory legal research related to employment law, tribal regulations, patent law, or other relevant fields as needed
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, or litigation
- Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and motion preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in case management and procedural tasks
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Prior law office experience is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude toward learning is essential
