Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our fast paced boutique law firm. The Associate Attorney will have the opportunity to work closely with and learn from seasoned attorneys and gain hands on experience in many areas of civil litigation: business, family, agriculture, real estate, foreclosure, and personal injury, among others. This position requires excellent legal drafting skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, and a commitment to litigating on behalf of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in these areas in addition to an entrepreneurial attitude committed to becoming an integral part of the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in client meetings and strategy sessions to develop case plans.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation for all matters handled.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida bar and active license to practice law.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in legal drafting and litigation.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing individual caseloads.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
- Energetic, self-starter with a positive attitude that is adaptable, takes initiative, and works well under pressure.
