Position Overview:We are actively seeking an accomplished Immigration Attorney specializing in USCIS, NVC, and DOJ matters to join our distinguished legal team. The ideal candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of various immigration processes, including asylum, family cases, NVC cases, consular processing, removal proceedings, waivers, BIA appeals, writ of mandamus, humanitarian parole, and employment-based visas and applications. The candidate must hold an active Bar license and have a proven background in immigration law.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload encompassing a range of immigration matters, such as asylum, family cases, NVC cases, consular processing, removal proceedings, waivers, BIA appeals, writ of mandamus, humanitarian parole, and employment-based visas and applications.
- Provide expert legal counsel to clients, skillfully navigating complex immigration procedures with clarity and precision.
- Advocate on behalf of clients in interactions with USCIS, NVC, DOJ, and other pertinent agencies.
- Diligently prepare and submit accurate legal documents, petitions, and applications within designated timelines.
- Stay well-informed about shifts in immigration laws, regulations, and policies to offer the most up-to-date guidance.
- Cultivate strong, trust-based client relationships, consistently championing their best interests throughout the legal process.
- Actively contribute to the firm's growth by participating in business development and engaging in client acquisition efforts.
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues to develop innovative solutions and deliver unparalleled client service.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in all client interactions and during court proceedings.
- Demonstrate a deep commitment to ongoing learning and remaining abreast of the latest legal developments.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar license.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience practicing immigration law.
- Proficiency in handling diverse immigration matters, including asylum, family cases, NVC cases, consular processing, removal proceedings, waivers, BIA appeals, writ of mandamus, humanitarian parole, and employment-based visas and applications.
- Strong organizational acumen and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Fluency in a second language is an asset.
- Proven record of excellence in client communication and a genuine dedication to assisting clients.
- Track record of devising innovative solutions to complex legal challenges.
- Experience with business development and possessing a book of business are advantageous.
