Job Summary:
Moody Law P.A., is an established and highly respected personal injury and medical negligence firm with our primary office located in Bartow and additional offices in Lakeland and Tampa. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have trial experience in medical malpractice and personal injury law. This position requires excellent negotiation skills and proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis. The Lawyer will be responsible for representing clients in legal proceedings, providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and other legal matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive client representation.
  • Manage case files efficiently and maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Proven experience in litigation or specific practice areas such as Medical Malpractice Law and Personal Injury Law is preferred but not required.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team within a law office environment.
