Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law and regulations, patent law, personal injury law, and general litigation. The Associate Attorney will play a vital role in providing comprehensive legal counsel, conducting research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings. Duties:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Prepare for trial by organizing case files, developing litigation strategies, and assisting with trial preparation activities.
- Represent clients in court depositions, hearings, and negotiations to advocate effectively on their behalf.
- Manage legal case files efficiently using case management software to ensure timely updates and compliance with procedural laws.
- Provide expert legal counsel to clients on issues related to employment law, personal injury claims, estate planning, and other specialized fields.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex litigation matters involving general & commercial litigation, statutory research, and procedural law requirements.
- Communicate clearly with clients to keep them informed about case developments and legal options while maintaining high standards of client service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Proven experience in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, or workers' compensation law is highly desirable.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for statutory and case law analysis.
- Excellent legal writing and drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare for court depositions and trial proceedings effectively.
- Experience in client communication and providing sound legal counsel across diverse cases.
- Knowledge of procedural laws relevant to litigation processes and court filings.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior law office experience that showcases strong organizational skills and professional growth in litigation or transactional work is preferred.
