Position Summary:Swanger Prickett LLP is seeking a highly motivated and talented Associate Attorney to join their team in Austin, Texas, dedicated primarily to the firm's Corporate and CRE Transactional practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Transactional law, with a focus on CRE and corporate matters. This position allows for the opportunity for significant mentorship and growth, as the firm relies on an open-door policy. The position also offers significant engagement with clients, early responsibility, and professional development in key legal areas.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, leases, loan agreements, and corporate filings
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of legal arguments
- Conduct due diligence investigations
- Advise clients on a wide range of legal issues
- Represent clients in negotiations and transactions
- Manage caseloads and deadlines effectively
- Billables must be equal to or greater than 1,200 hours
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas (or eligible for immediate bar admission)
- 1-5 years of experience in transactional law, with a focus on commercial real estate and/or corporate law
- Strong academic record and excellent research and writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRE/Corporate law, e.g., real estate development, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Clio, and Adobe Acrobat [preferred/required]
- Experience with AI and LLM within a legal practice is preferred
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, PTO, and a salary range of $110,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
