Description:
A well-established insurance defense firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join our New York City or New Jersey offices. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates admitted in New York or those scheduled to be admitted within the next three months.We offer hands-on litigation experience, mentorship from senior attorneys, and meaningful opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.
In addition, the firm will provide structured, in-person training beginning in March, designed to further develop litigation skills, case management abilities, and courtroom readiness to ensure success in the role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
- Conduct depositions and attend court appearances
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
- Maintain and manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of legal experience
- Admitted to practice in New York or scheduled for admission within the next 3 months
- Admission in New Jersey is a plus
- Prior litigation and/or insurance defense experience is a plus
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
