Job Overview:
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our firm. The position will handle defense of bodily injury claims (motor vehicle, premises liability, etc.), construction defect claims, and business matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years of experience with civil litigation - insurance defense and/or personal injury experience is preferred.
Duties:
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
- Conduct legal research
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and appeals
- Provide legal advice and guidance on complex legal issues
- Assist with case management and trial preparation
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on various legal matters
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
