The law offices of Halk, Oetinger, and Brown are seeking an entry to mid-level associate attorney to join our growing team of professionals in our Tempe office. NO BILLABLE HOUR REQUIREMENTS. Our firm works in several different areas of practice including community association law, real estate, corporation law, contracts, bankruptcy, and more. This is a great opportunity to grow your legal skill set.

Responsibilities:
New graduates and entry-level attorney candidates are encouraged to apply. You will manage a caseload, draft motions, interact with clients, attend hearings, attend arguments and mediation hearings in court, and work cases to a final resolution under the supervision of a senior attorney. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting legal research to support case preparation.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the civil rules, strong research and legal writing skills, the ability to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving, and be motivated to seek continued improvement of their legal abilities. Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, highly motivated, able to think and act independently and with minimal supervision, and have strong communication skills to provide excellent service to clients.

Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess:
  • A Juris Doctorate;
  • Licensed to practice law within the State of Arizona;
  • In good standing with the State Bar of Arizona;
  • No prior experience required;
  • Ability to work independently and produce an accurate and high-quality work product.
