Description:
We are seeking an attorney (0–3 years experience preferred) who wants to build deep technical expertise in a stable, recession-resistant practice area.This is not a high-volume, billable-hour firm. You will work directly with senior attorneys on substantive drafting, strategy, and court matters while developing meaningful client-facing skills.
What You'll Actually Do
- Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and related estate planning documents
- Assist with Medicaid planning strategies and nursing home applications
- Prepare Surrogate's Court pleadings and accountings
- Attend court appearances
- Meet with clients alongside senior attorneys
- Work closely with our legal team to move files efficiently and accurately
- You will receive hands-on mentorship and meaningful responsibility early.
Who This Role Is For
- This position is ideal for someone who:
- Is admitted in New York (or pending admission)
- Has strong writing and drafting ability
- Is detail-oriented and organized
- Prefers substantive legal work over sales or business development
- Wants to become technically strong in elder law and estate planning
- Experience in trusts & estates, elder law, or Surrogate's Court is helpful but not required.
