Seattle Construction Defect Attorneys is seeking a motivated litigation attorney with 2 to 8 years of litigation experience to manage our busy collection and lien foreclosure practice on behalf of national material suppliers and local general contractors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft mechanic and materialmen liens, bond claims, and related notices.
  • Draft demand letters.
  • Draft pleadings.
  • Draft discovery requests and responses.
  • Conduct depositions.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Draft and argue motions.
  • Research and confirm title and property information.
  • Advise clients regarding lien, bond claim, security, and credit management procedures.
  • Trial preparation and support.
  • Attend and represent clients at mediations and arbitrations.
  • Attend and represent clients at trial.
  • Maintain accurate time records.

Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice in Washington and in good standing in all states where the applicant is licensed to practice
  • 2 to 6 years of litigation experience.
  • Solid academic credentials.
  • Excellent research and communication skills.
  • Desire to grow with our busy practice.
  • Prior experience with collection matters is a plus.
