We are seeking an Associate Attorney who is eager to expand their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and develop expertise in the distinctive and evolving field of community association law.

How You Will Contribute:
As an Associate Attorney, you will work across a broad range of legal matters while building a strong foundation in community association law.

Your responsibilities will include:

Interpreting contracts, statutes, governing documents, and other legal authorities and applying those principles to practical client matters.
Counseling community association clients through their board members and professional managers.
Providing day-to-day legal guidance regarding association governance, governing documents, compliance requirements, and operational matters.
Drafting, revising, and updating governing documents, including CC&Rs, bylaws, rules, and related materials.
Reviewing, preparing, and negotiating vendor agreements and service contracts.
Addressing client questions and concerns regarding legal rights, obligations, and responsibilities.
Examining complicated legal and factual issues and developing practical, well-reasoned, solutions-oriented recommendations.
Developing strong client relationships through timely communication, thoughtful counsel, and dependable legal service.

The Attorney We Hope to Find:

The successful candidate will:

Be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Washington.
Have an interest in community association law, real estate, contracts, construction, or a related practice area.
Bring strong attention to detail and accuracy to their work.
Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and in conversation.
Analyze issues thoughtfully and approach legal problems with sound professional judgment.
Have prior litigation experience, although litigation experience is preferred rather than required.
Work confidently and independently while recognizing when collaboration, input, or additional guidance is appropriate.
Demonstrate a genuine desire to learn, improve, and continue developing professionally.
Absorb, organize, retain, and synthesize detailed and sometimes complex information.
Build strong professional relationships and establish genuine trust with clients.
Be comfortable using legal practice management technology, including task management, timekeeping and billing, document storage, and email systems.
Have the ability to relocate to Seattle, Washington before beginning employment.
