Kivel & Howard LLP, a well-established Portland, Oregon law firm, is seeking a full-time attorney and part-time candidates with growth opportunities, flexible hours and hybrid options. We're looking for team members who value being in service to clients. Attorneys in this position mainly assist Oregon members of LegalShield with consultations and occasionally will provide other limited services on a variety of legal matters.

If you possess the following skills and traits, we encourage you to apply today.

Passed the Oregon State Bar with minimum 2 years of experience
Strong listening and communication skills on a variety of legal matters
An ability to write clear and concise letters on behalf of members
Rather than dealing with only one topic each day, you prefer working on a variety of legal issues, i.e.: Landlord Tenant disputes, trust and will issues, estate questions, business matters, work-place fairness issues, contract disputes, and similar categories to stay current on Oregon law
You take pride in bringing proper resolution to client situations, while demonstrating a history of managing, and closing multiple cases each day
Good record keeping and time management skills 
Strong knowledge of current property laws for the State of Oregon
Admission into and a member in good standing with the Oregon State Bar
Familiarity with office software, a willingness to learn some new software that connects with Legal Shield, our national partner
Effectively working with your colleagues – attorneys and Customer Service Reps - to ensure all client information is properly gathered and that the client needs are met in an organized and timely manner.
