This fast-paced civil litigation defense firm is seeking an enthusiastic 3-8 year litigation associate to join a close-knit team of attorneys involved in defending school districts, public entities, and corporate clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The appropriate candidate will work on a team in assisting the firm's wide-ranging personal injury defense practices, and should be able to personally manage every aspect of assigned cases from the pre-litigation phase, through discovery and depositions, dispositive motions, and trial preparation. We are looking for a lawyer who is creative, passionate, and self-driven. Candidates should be interested in being involved in an active litigation practice and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities. This position offers self-motivated and efficient attorneys significant litigation experience.

The position affords attorneys the opportunity to attend court hearings and take/defend depositions. However, ideal candidates will have significant experience writing various motions, briefs, summaries, and evaluations. The ideal candidate will respond to discovery, and draft motions to compel, motions for summary judgment, and motions in limine. The position also offers the opportunity to second-chair at trial with a partner.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 3-8 years of litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with the California Government Code, Education Code, and drafting summary judgment motions is a plus.
