Sall Spencer Callas & Krueger is a boutique complex business litigation firm. A substantial part of our practice is professional ethics, and lawyer misconduct cases arising from a variety of underlying legal representations, including business litigation, transactional work, real estate disputes, and probate and estate planning. We are seeking full time Associate Attorneys in our Laguna Beach office to assist with all phases of litigation.Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated attorneys at with 3-8 years of complex business litigation experience with (i) strong research, writing, and analytical abilities, (ii) organizational skills and the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks, and (iii) the ability to analyze complex legal issues in factually specific scenarios.
Principal duties and responsibilities will include legal research and factual investigation; development of legal theories and case strategy; drafting legal memoranda and all varieties of pleadings and motions; court appearances and motion practice; propounding and responding to discovery; taking and assisting with the preparation for depositions; managing all phases of document review and production; preparing for and attending mediations; coordinating with expert witnesses; and preparing for and trying cases.
This is a hands-on litigation role with substantial responsibility. This position has the possibility to be hybrid remote.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- California State Bar Admission in good standing.
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters effectively.
- Complex business litigation experience.
- Legal malpractice or legal ethics experience is a plus.
Pay: $125,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
