Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented family law associate attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an excellent writing and research skills, knowledge and proficiency in family law practice Minnesota, and a passion for advocacy and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with and assist partners/senior attorneys with their case files as needed.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys/partners on strategy and litigation.
- Manage case files and maintain client communications.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and contracts.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and legal issues.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law, and in good standing, in Minnesota.
- 5+ years of relevant family law experience/practice (drafting, research, motion practice, and litigation).
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to assist with and manage client files.
- Ability to handle emotional and sensitive client issues with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
