Description:

Growing downtown Boston zoning, development, permitting and licensing law firm is seeking an energetic and reliable self-starter to join its team as an associate attorney. Ideal candidates will have entry level or intermediate experience and willingness to work closely with firm partners and associates to develop competency in the firm's law practice. Candidates should show interest in developing relationships within the Boston political sphere. Candidates should also demonstrate motivation to earn new clients for the firm.

Responsibilities Comprise:

Meeting with new clients in concert with partners to create new client relationships;
Drafting and creating new client contracts;
Researching and drafting memorandums on relevant Boston Zoning Code and permitting regulations;
Researching and preparing PowerPoint presentations for abutter, community group, and City of Boston agency meetings;
Drafting and filing appropriate documents with City of Boston Agencies;
Appearing at community meetings on behalf of the firm;
Drafting and filing associated legal documents;
Developing a strong knowledge of the Boston Zoning Code.

Qualifications Required:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA) Accredited Law School
Admission or pending admission to the Massachusetts State Bar
0-3 years of legal experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
