The responsibilities of the position would include:
- Provide legal advice and representation to firm clients
- Independently handle court appearances and client meetings
- Supervise Area Managers' / Legal Assistants' performance and activities
- Report firm performance to clients and elected officials
- Attend trade conferences and entertain clients
- Cultivate relationships with the firm's existing and future clients
- Coordinate presentation of firm proposals for new clients and renewals
- Market firm resources to potential clients in the field and at conferences
Requirements:
- JD from an ABA approved school
- Must be licensed and in good standing in Texas
- 1-5 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to engage with clients and local associations beneficial to client interests
- Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skill
- Spanish-speaking a plus
