Description:
Donoff & Lutz, LLC is seeking an associate attorney to join its growing Social Security disability practice. Although the attorney will support all parts of the firm's practice and litigation, we are looking for an attorney significantly interested in representing disabled claimants at administrative hearings. Although we have other attorneys focused on appellate work, all of our attorneys also spend notable time drafting appeals. We seek attorneys simultaneously committed to helping the “little guy” and to high-quality legal practice. Our attorneys have litigation backgrounds and have forgone the faux prestige of traditional corporate practice; we went to law school to help people, and expect high-quality work when representing them. We think that this position offers interesting work, the opportunity to do good, and the chance for significant earnings.
We offer PTO, valet parking, and have 401k matching contributions and profit-sharing distributions. After an initial training period, attorneys have some ability to "work-from-home" as helpful, although much of our work benefits from office presence.
We welcome applicants from all career stages. We can both wait for applicants planning to graduate from law school in the spring, and speak to mid-career attorneys looking for a new practice. If you are mid-career and have other legal skills, we are happy to discuss how to continue your current practice at our firm.
Requirements:
- Admission to the Ohio bar in good standing, or expected law school graduation in 2027
- Interest in administrative law
- Interest in appellate law
- Sympathy for the downtrodden
