Job Description:Our firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in General Liability and/or Commercial Litigation to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This role requires a proactive attorney with strong litigation skills and a thorough understanding of general liability, premises liability, and automobile negligence law to handle cases efficiently from inception through resolution. This individual will play a critical role in advocating for our clients' interests and collaborating with our legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, settlement agreements, and contracts.
- Conduct depositions, represent clients in hearings and mediations, and participate in court appearances.
- Analyze complex legal and medical documents and provide clients with informed guidance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations relating to Florida general liability.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in General Liability and/or Commercial Litigation
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Florida State Bar.
- 2-7 years of experience in general civil litigation.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work collaboratively within a team.
