Job Overview:
STLLP is seeking a Florida-barred Associate Attorney to join our Boca Raton office. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly admitted or early-career attorney interested in gaining practical experience in civil litigation, creditors' rights, negotiations, and case management.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and an effective written and verbal communicator. The attorney must be comfortable managing a high-volume caseload, balancing competing deadlines, negotiating settlements, and collaborating with attorneys and legal support staff.

Prior experience in civil litigation, creditors' rights, collections, or a law firm environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Following the initial 120-day employment period, the attorney may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in accordance with Firm policy.

Responsibilities:

Manage a high-volume caseload under the guidance of experienced attorneys.
Review and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
Represent clients at court hearings and other legal proceedings.
Negotiate settlements and other resolutions consistent with client objectives and applicable law.
Conduct legal research and remain current on relevant Florida laws, court rules, and procedures.
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, consumers, and colleagues.
Monitor case activity and ensure that deadlines, client requirements, and internal procedures are followed.
Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to move matters forward efficiently and accurately.
Maintain compliance with all applicable legal, ethical, and professional requirements.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Florida and in good standing.
Strong legal research, writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to independently manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Prior experience in civil litigation, creditors' rights, collections, or a law firm environment is preferred but not required.
Authorization to work in the United States.
