Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law cases, including divorce, parenting plan modifications, child support modifications, relocations, and guardianships.
- Conduct thorough legal research utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on relevant laws and regulations.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Advocate for clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide legal advice, and keep them informed throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Proven experience or strong interest in family law practice.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate settlements and client advocacy.
- Familiarity with litigation procedures and courtroom procedures.
- Legal administrative experience is preferred to efficiently manage case documentation and client communications.
