Carlsbad Family Law firm seeking Attorney with a minimum of 2-5 years of Family Law Experience.Role Description:
This is a full-time, in-office position for a Family Law Attorney at a well-known and respected firm in Carlsbad. Candidate will be responsible for managing legal issues for clients related to family law including: divorce, spousal support, child support, custody, domestic violence and premarital/postmarital matters. Candidate should be comfortable with handling complex financial issues, managing custody disputes, and handling domestic violence actions. It is essential for Candidate to have courtroom experience and client interaction. Salary based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage your own caseload in a moderately paced, team-oriented environment
- Prepare for and attend hearings, settlement conferences, and trials
- Propound and respond to discovery demands
- Prepare and review disclosures
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Provide consultations to prospective clients
Qualifications:
- Active member of the State Bar of California
- 2-5 years of family law experience managing legal issues related to divorce, child support, custody, spousal support and domestic violence matters
- Experience in San Diego County strongly preferred
- General knowledge of the California Rules of Court, San Diego Local Rules, court forms, and filing procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
