The Whittie Law Center is a dedicated Criminal Defense firm committed to protecting the rights of individuals accused of crimes. We handle a wide range of cases from misdemeanors to complex felony trials. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated new attorney who can work independently and also with a team. The primary assignment will be representing clients in misdemeanor matters out of the 36th District Court (Detroit). Additionally, there will be opportunities to represent clients in felony matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in criminal law, a willingness to learn and grow as an attorney, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We offer exceptional and aggressive defense in all matters.

This is not a position where you mainly assist a partner. This is a position with autonomy with your own case load where you are the lead attorney on your cases. This position is ideal for newer attorneys who want to try bench and jury trials in their first year of practice.

We are accepting resumes for those applicants who are licensed as attorneys with no experience and also those who are awaiting Bar Exam results.

Note that you will receive a base salary and performance bonuses.
