A Full-Service Law Firm Based in Buffalo, New York seeks an ambitious attorney with at least three years of experience for an Associate position with our Real Estate/Banking Practice Team. Our real estate practice team represents clients located throughout the United States and in Canada and has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of real estate law, including sales and acquisitions, leasing, financing, construction, litigation, tax deferred exchanges and title matters. We have the expertise to provide our clients with comprehensive advice throughout all phases of a project, from conception to completion. Our attorneys have been responsible for major multi-million and billion-dollar real estate transactions, including the financing, sale, leasing, and acquisition of multifamily housing (market-rate, affordable, LIHTCs), shopping centers, office complexes, industrial buildings, warehouses, student housing, condominiums, mobile home parks, and hotels. We have also successfully represented clients in public finance transactions including tax exempt bond deals.

Strong skills in technology, confidence, legal advocacy skills, and satisfaction from working in a team environment are required. Experience with commercial real estate and drafting and negotiating documents, including commercial purchase and sale agreement, loan agreements, guaranty agreements, real estate related joint venture agreements, is required. Experience with title and survey review, permitting, zoning and development, including with energy and/or renewable energy projects, is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with bond finance structure a plus.

Strong academic credentials, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills are also required. The attorney selected for this position must be a self-starter and will have direct client contact and work with client to integrate legal advice into business strategy.

This position is located in Jacksonville; a Florida bar license is required. Additional licenses in other states a plus.
