Description:
Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated attorney with 4+ years of experience in construction law and business law practice. The attorney will handle matters from early-stage counseling through trial and appeal, working closely with firm partners while developing their own client relationships and sharpening their legal experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in construction disputes, including construction defects, delay, payment, and lien claims, as well as negligence and liability matters
- Advise businesses on entity formation, corporate governance, contracts, general business matters, and disputes
- Draft and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, operating agreements, and other business documents
- Manage litigation from case intake through trial, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, and mediation
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear written analysis for clients and supervising attorneys
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurers
- Participate in business development and professional association activities to assist with growth of the attorney's practice
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing of The Florida Bar
- At least 4 years of experience in construction law, business law, or civil litigation
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively with a team
