Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Complex Litigation Senior Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, trial preparation, legal writing, and research. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile cases and contribute to our firm's success and personal growth.

Employment is in office, non-hybrid or remote. Candidates should plan to live within commuting distance of Norfolk, VA or have interest in relocation upon offer of employment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and strategy development.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and depositions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategy and management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the VA state bar and in good standing.
  • 3-7 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Proven experience in trial preparation, legal writing, and research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Experience in maritime, railroad, and construction disputes is a plus, but not required.
