Cullen and Dykman LLP seeks an experienced associate to join our Commercial Litigation group in Albany. The role offers immediate responsibility, client contact, and courtroom experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage cases from investigation through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and trials.
  • Draft pleadings, dispositive and discovery motions, and appellate briefs.
  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients; oversee discovery and e-discovery.
  • Communicate directly with clients, experts, co-counsel, and opposing counsel; participate in settlement negotiations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members and collaborate with staff.

What We're Looking For:
  • JD and admission to the New York Bar (in good standing).
  • 4+ years of commercial litigation experience in New York state and/or federal courts.
  • Strong brief writing, research, and oral advocacy skills; comfort taking/defending depositions and appearing in court.
  • Sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
  • Team-oriented mindset with professionalism and client-service focus.

Location and work model:

Albany, NY. Hybrid work may be considered consistent with client, court, and team needs.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • We offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and a collaborative, friendly environment. The salary range for this role is $135,000-$150,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience. Email resume and salary requirements.
