Woolsey Morcom is looking to expand our fast-growing commercial litigation practice. We are currently seeking an attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in handling litigation cases. Prior commercial litigation experience is not required.
Compensation package TBD based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Navigating Florida's commercial litigation laws, including contracts, business disputes, and breach of contract claims
- Preparing various types of motions, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence
- Responding to Discovery Requests, including requests for production, requests for admissions, and interrogatories; preparing clients' discovery requests; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses from opposing counsel
- Taking and defending depositions
- Coordinating with expert witnesses, including forensic accountants, business valuation experts, and other industry professionals
- Attending mediation and settlement conferences
- Attending jury trials, non-jury trials, and arbitrations
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in litigation (plaintiff or defense) in Florida
- Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment
- Occasional travel required throughout Florida

Salary:
$100,000 - $130,000 per year
