Anderson & Associates, P.C. is a fast-paced Virginia Beach law firm seeking an associate attorney to represent clients in civil litigation, criminal defense, and bankruptcy matters. This role offers hands-on courtroom experience, direct client contact, and the opportunity to take ownership of cases across several practice areas.What You'll Do:
- Represent clients in court hearings, motions, trials, and other proceedings throughout Virginia.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and bankruptcy filings.
- Interview clients and witnesses, evaluate evidence, and develop case strategy.
- Negotiate settlements and other resolutions when appropriate.
- Manage deadlines and keep clients informed about their cases.
What We're Looking For:
- Active Virginia State Bar membership in good standing.
- Ability to travel throughout Virginia for court appearances and other case-related work.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines in a busy practice.
- Courtroom experience or experience in civil litigation, criminal defense, or bankruptcy is preferred. Experience in all three areas is welcome.
