The Role:
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to join our Beverly Hills office. This is a full-time, on-site position in a fast-paced litigation environment. The right candidate manages their own caseload with autonomy while working collaboratively with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters. We are looking for a self-directed litigator who thrives under pressure and takes ownership from inception through resolution.

What You'll Do:
  • Independently manage a diverse caseload across PLG's practice areas from inception through resolution
  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs in California state and federal courts
  • Manage all phases of discovery, including taking and defending depositions and preparing witnesses and experts
  • Communicate with clients and provide practical, strategic legal counsel
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings
  • Handle crisis management matters requiring rapid legal assessment and response
  • Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on complex, high-value disputes — contributing strategy, research, and execution as part of a collaborative team
  • Contribute to firm growth through client development and relationship building
  • Mentor junior staff as the team expands

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of litigation experience at a law firm
  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
  • Demonstrated experience in motion practice, depositions, and trial or arbitration proceedings
  • Strong command of California civil procedure and state and federal court practice
  • Substantive experience in one or more of PLG's core practice areas
  • Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies under pressure
  • Sound client management skills and professional judgment
  • Self-directed and collaborative, with an interest in contributing to a growing practice
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
