lnitial assignments for AUSA's can be in the Criminal Division, where they will be responsible for representing the United States in the prosecution of Federal crimes, in the Appeals Division, where they will be responsible for representing the United States in criminal cases before the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, or in the Civil Division, where they will be responsible for representing the United States in either defensive or affirmative civil actions.
Position may be located in Newark, Trenton or Camden.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least three (3) years post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.
Salary:
Assistant United States Attorneys' pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience. The range of basic pay for these positions will be $59,319 to $155,155, plus locality pay.
