Job Description:Assistant United States Attorneys have the opportunity to represent the interests of the United States of America in the United District Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In performing this important public service, AUSAs exercise a level of responsibility for the matters they handle that is unparalleled in any other litigation job.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the bar (any jurisdiction) and have at least one to two years of post J.D. experience; possess superior oral and written communication skills, as well as strong character and interpersonal skills; and have demonstrated the capacity to function, with minimal guidance, in a very demanding environment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
