The United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma (USAOKN) is seeking a motivated and prosecution-minded attorney to join our Criminal Division. This United States Attorney's Office serves as the chief federal law enforcement office in the Northern District of Oklahoma and is accountable to the citizens of the Northern District for pursuing justice, ensuring public safety, enforcing the law, protecting the interests of the United States, and exercising stewardship of the government's resources. The Northern District comprises 11 counties in the northeastern corner of Oklahoma, including Tulsa County, the state's second-most populous county. Due to the 2020 Supreme Court decision in McGirt v. Oklahoma and its progeny, most of the Northern District of Oklahoma is Indian Country, and the USAO has jurisdiction to prosecute major crimes committed by or against members of a federally recognized Indian tribe. As a result, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to serve in a vibrant, challenging, and evolving criminal prosecution division

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 3 years of post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.

United States citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent academics, litigation experience, financial litigation experience including knowledge of family, estate, corporate, tax, property and/or bankruptcy law, strong legal writing skills, and commitment to public service.

Salary:
Salary Information: Assistant United States Attorney's pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience. The basic pay range is $77,867 to $197,100, which includes 17.06% locality pay.
