Job Description:The United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma (USAOKN) is seeking an experienced, motivated, and prosecution-minded attorney to join our Criminal Division. This United States Attorney's Office serves as the chief federal law enforcement office in the Northern District of Oklahoma and is accountable to the citizens of the Northern District for pursuing justice, ensuring public safety, enforcing the law, protecting the interests of the United States, and exercising stewardship of the government's resources. The Northern District comprises 11 counties in the northeastern corner of Oklahoma, including Tulsa County, the state's second-most populous county. Due to the 2020 Supreme Court decision in McGirt v. Oklahoma and its progeny, most of the Northern District of Oklahoma is Indian Country, and the USAO has jurisdiction to prosecute major crimes committed by or against members of a federally recognized Indian tribe. As a result, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to serve in a vibrant, challenging, and evolving criminal prosecution division.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least one year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
An ideal applicant's background or experience will include criminal prosecution, investigation, and trial experience in one or more of the following areas: violent crimes, drug conspiracies, crimes against children, and complex litigation. In addition, applicants will be expected to do legal research and writing and will be self-sufficient in preparing day-to-day correspondence and pleadings. Applicants must also demonstrate excellent computer literacy skills, including experience with e-discovery, e-litigation platforms, electronic court filing, and word processing systems.

Salary:
The basic pay range is $76,748 to $197,100, including 17.06% locality pay.
