Description:
Berchem Moses PC, a prominent Connecticut law firm with offices in Milford and Westport, is actively recruiting candidates for an Assistant Town Attorney position for the town of Westport, CT. This position works under the direction of the Town Attorney and provides legal support and counsel to the Town's elected officials, boards, commissions, and departments on a wide range of municipal legal matters.The position is one of great responsibility, reviewing contracts, RFPs, FOIA issues, charter inquires, and advising the Board of Selectmen and Representative Town Meeting. The position will involve considerable time at the Westport Town Hall, working closely with the Town Attorney and other law firm attorneys.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar or eligibility for admission within a reasonable time after hire.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with municipal officials, staff, and the public.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
