Responsibilities: Conducts factual and legal analysis of reports submitted by law enforcement agencies to determine whether charges should be filed based on the facts and the law; represents the State of Missouri at docket calls, jury trials, and grand jury proceedings; manages assigned cases; maintains proficiency in Missouri and Federal law.

New law school graduates are welcome to apply and would enter as an APA I. Salary commensurate with relevant law school experience. Eligible to promote to APA II after two (2) years successful service. Assistant Prosecuting Attorney I: $73,403 - $78,686

Two (2) years or more of relevant legal experience eligible to enter as APA II. Salary commensurate with relevant experience. Assistant Prosecuting Attorney II: $92,435 - $99,112

Status: Full-time, exempt, benefited

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree
• Valid license to practice law in the State of Missouri

Preferred Qualifications: Two years' prosecuting experience

Annual Salary Range: $73,403 - $99,112
