Description:

The following are a summary of the primary duties and responsibilities.
  • Review police reports and tickets to determine if charges should be filed; complete charging documents and warrant applications.
  • Prepare and analyze cases; correspond with defense attorneys for exchange of discovery and making plea recommendations.
  • Prepare cases for docket; review facts and criminal records; set dates for trials and hearings.
  • Perform research regarding the status of law on issues relevant to cases; assist other with research projects as needed.
  • Work with Victim Advocates to assess the case; prepare witness outlines; explain courtroom procedures.
  • Represent the State of Missouri at Bench and Jury Trials and Hearings.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings.
  • Participate in continued legal education as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Salary based on experience.

Applicants must be a member of the Missouri Bar in good standing, or an applicant for the bar exam awaiting results.
