The Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is seeking a Felony Prosecutor to join a team dedicated to protecting the community, collaborating, pursuing justice, and providing thoughtful, effective representation of the State of Ohio.
This is an opportunity for an Ohio-licensed attorney to take meaningful ownership of complex felony cases from indictment through trial and post-conviction proceedings. You will develop cases, work closely with law enforcement, advocate for victims and witnesses, litigate motions, conduct trials, handle sentencings, and post-conviction matters
What You'll Do:
- Advocate in the courtroom, including autonomous prosecution of cases through all proceedings including pre-trials, negotiations, plea and sentencing, trials, evidentiary hearings, and persuasive arguments before judges and juries.
- Work with victims and witnesses, helping them understand the legal process and preparing them for court.
- Collaborate with experienced prosecutors and justice-system professionals while also managing your own caseload and taking ownership of your work.
- Serve as a legal resource to the Prosecuting Attorney, law enforcement agencies, and colleagues on a wide range of criminal-law matters.
